A tradition of Murano glass, expertly combined with technical developments over the centuries. Seguso chandeliers, Murano glass sconces and lamps, embody the nature of shining glass, developed with form, style and technique. Unique Murano glass objects, evoking a timeless style through the exploration of historical archives from the Seguso family. Forms of resolute elegance were explored to give a new life to the most classic of Murano glass items.
Sommerso, Coste, and Ritorti are a few of the ancient techniques rigorously hand made, the result of extraordinary skills by the Seguso glass masters.

PROJECTS

Seguso’s Murano glass chandeliers and Murano glass objects have adorned princely residences, large hotels, theaters, museums, and luxurious private homes. The beauty of Seguso Murano glass was commissioned by clients such as the Grand Hotel Milano, Bauer Venice, the Hotel George V in Paris, the Palace Hotel in St. Moritz, the royal wedding party for the Duke of Spoleto, and the Casino Palazzo Vendramin Corner in Venice. Among an object of great pride is a Murano glass chandelier created for the Vatican.

Seguso Vetri d’Arte has a rich treasure trove of design archives. These archives of amazing Murano glass designs, serve as magic window to the past to some of the most iconic Seguso glass creations over the past century.

Seguso Vetri d’Arte is known historically as one of the most important Murano glass companies from the past century. Started by the Seguso family in 1933, the Murano glass artistry of the Seguso furnace captured several design awards for exquisite Murano glass chandeliers and technically innovative Murano glass vases.

The Seguso Vetri d’Arte lighting collection set the standard for luxury Murano lighting that the world has come to expect today. Murano glass chandeliers of grand size to fill and illuminate the finest spaces and the most exclusive private homes. Seguso Vetri d’Arte also reached new heights in the production of glass objects: Murano glass vases, Murano glass stemware, Murano glass goblets, and an assortment of dazzling Murano glass tableware, even enjoyed by royalty. The Seguso vases produced by the glass furnace turned out some of the most revered designs and highest qualities. Many of these Murano glass objects represented the height of mid-century Italian design garnering numerous design awards. So high was the level of Murano glass craftsmanship and luxurious design, several Seguso vases and Murano glass objects are in the permanent collections of the most renowned museums.

Today the Seguso family has followed this tradition. Staying true to the soul of Murano glassmaking and defining a new era of design, innovation, and respect on this small island in the Venetian lagoon. The most iconic Murano glass designs from Seguso Vetri d’Arte are still produced today, while always looking to the future, and continue to set this century’s standard for true Murano glass.
